Tips To Save You Time, Money and Heart Headache
Tip # 1 Great Time Saver. When sewing remeber to always have two bobbin threads pre-wound in the color you are using for your project. There is noting worse then running out of bobbin and having to rewind when your on a roll/
Tip #2 Fabric scissors are just what they are for, FOR CUTTING YOUR FABRIC. Always reserve a pair of sewing scissors to cut only your fabric, when you use your fabric scissors to cut paper or other material you make your scissors dull.
Tip #3 Use a Lint roller or tape to help pick up loose thread around your sewing area.
Tip #4 Corner and Edges. For smoother corners, edges or seams, make slits or clip the edge of the seam. See our upcoming video for a demonstration.
Tip #5. It is important to keep these tools handy when siting down sewing at your machine, a seam ripper, pin cushion, straight pins, extra sewing needles, good pair of scissors, measuring guage, clear tape or a lint roller.
Tip #6 STOP! before you begin or end sewing your project rember to reverse(back) stitch, this keep the fabric from unrevaling.
Tip #7 For better results, Always check your machine for dirt and dust build up, if you have it it time to clean your machine. Read your sewing machine instructions on how to clean your machine. Also see our upcoming video on to do a basic cleaning of our machine.
Tip #8 Always check you sewing machine needle for dullness, and change it when necessary to help prevent jams.
Tip # 9 On buying your sewing machine. 1. Know what you need. 2. Take fabric and thread to a store and try out ad test features. 3. It is important that you also familarize your self with the latest features. 4. Know your price range and find out what comes with your machine. |
